Most of us have heard of confirmation bias. That we seek out information and evidence that supports what we already believe to be true and dismiss or ignore evidence to the contrary. But how does this affect our romantic relationships?
In today's episode, I talk about the ways confirmation bias shows up in relationships and how it often causes us to put our partners in a box that they struggle to break out of. In order to create an environment that promotes growth and development, we need to dump our confirmation bias and befriend the discomfort that comes with cognitive dissonance.
