In last week’s episode, we discussed Empowering Ourselves and Others by CHOOSING rather than believing we HAVE to. This week: Emotional Empowerment. What is that? We have the ability to CHOOSE our emotions and act accordingly. We often give other people the ability to dictate how we feel by saying things like, “They hurt my feelings.” No one can control how you feel without your consent. That is up to you. How do we emotionally empower ourselves then? First, we recognize the emotion. Second, we respond by allowing it, processing it, and using our senses to help us.
