Understanding Why We Eat (or do anything for that matter)

Previously we discussed doing a little sleuthing – observing behaviors. What is it that your kids are doing? What are you finding out about the patterns of their behavior?

This week we are exploring what comes before the behaviors.

Why do we do the things that we do?

It’s not as mysterious as what it’s made out to be. In fact, we pretty much do everything for one reason:

emotions.

We have a feeling that leads us to act, or to not act. Or perhaps we are totally uncomfortable with a feeling, so we do something else to avoid feeling it.

Take a listen to Episode #74 and learn about the emotions that drive behaviors, and how to apply this in your home.
